Paul Gauguin Cruise Pinch Me, I Must be Dreaming

by colleenmf Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jul 17 '02
Pros: Freestyle cruising that is not all-inclusive but more-inclusive than typical mass market cruises.
Cons: Cruise too short, pre and post cruise packages are not well controlled.
This year (2002) is a special one for my husband and me. We will be married 10 years in August and he received tenure at Texas Tech University. I wanted to plan a very special, exotic vacation to celebrate.

We have several friends who are...

Finally Paradise

by doug2705eads , Aug 11 '04
Pros: Rated as the Best Cruise Ship...and this is a perfect locality.
Cons: There just are no criticisms.
Paradise can be found, for without that possibility why would nature make the desire so intense and instinctive?” – John Updike, author 1932- If we employed our greatest expletives and expressive adjectives in painting for readers a written ...

The best of the best... the Paul Gauguin is it!

by cruise14 , Mar 24 '03
Pros: The best food, service, and staff afloat!
Cons: It's a long way to Tahiti!
It's very far away especially if you are coming from the east coast.. but well worth the trip. In fact Tahiti is so remote that they were flying 2 day old CNN videos to the ship because the satelite gets no reception there.

I've been on over...

Radisson m/s Paul Gauguin

Pros: Very personalized service; superlative cuisine; beautiful locale
Cons: Expensive...but worth it
This superlative ship will provide you with an attentive crew, excellent food, and a beautiful destination in the South Pacific to boot.

My wife and I took a 7-day cruise on this ship in Feb 1999. The relative number of passengers is low,...

Worth every penny

by wantbestdeal , Sep 07 '04
Pros: itinerary, service, remoteness of the destination
Cons: Eight hour flight from LAX, day room
From the moment we boarded the Paul Gauguin, it was nothing but bliss. We(travel partner and I) sailed in June 2004. We were the only younger passengers (both 30 years old) not celebrating a honeymoon. Getting to Tahiti- We booked an air/sea trip ...

This was a wonderful cruise.

by PaulMcBride , Jan 28 '01
Pros: Service, Grace, and Planning.
Cons: Not everyone can afford this journey.
The Paul Gauguin is a wonderful way to tour the islands of French Polynesia. The flight to Tahiti aboard New Zealand airlines was surprisingly comfortable. This boat is very well staffed, very well managed, and very well designed.
This...
