Pros: Spacious cabins, salt-water pool, Cova Café chocolate, itinerary, lengthy island stay, terrific gym Cons: Fixed seating, fixed breakfast menu, wet sauna fees, shampoo, fatty health food, no thirtysomethings
Once, again, the Big Mammas were united on the Celebrity Constellation cruise to the Southern Caribbean Jan. 2004. We had a fantastic time, and incidentally got great tans with minimal lines. Why, you may ask? Well, because we lost the battle of the ...
Pros: Outstanding service and quality of food, great experience Cons: Attendants serving drinks every 2 seconds, nothing else!!!!!
The experience that my family and I had was amazing on the Celebrity Constellation. We didn't know what to expect because it was our first cruise mainly because of my allergy. I am severely allergic to peanuts, and my mother has always been worried about ...
Pros: Great ship and staff. Good food and entertainment. Cons: Sorry it had to end!
CRUISE INFO/BOOKING This review is of the Celebrity Constellation, sailing from NJ to the Western Caribbean on 11/07/06 - 11/18/06. This was the 4th cruise for my wife and I, ages 30 & 32. This was my first sailing with Celebrity, and my opinions ...
Pros: The new Concierge Class, quality of service, food, amenities Cons: Leaving, long immigrations lines that were unorganized & unneccessary.
Greatest service from the Air Dept of Celebrity, last March, when I received an email regarding our non-stop flight CLE-LGW 9/6 at 7:30PM arriving Gatwick at 7:30AM. Flight was comfortable as we had emergency exit aisle seats & slept well. But arriving ...
Pros: All pro! The ship is Marvelous! Cons: None that I can think of!
We celebrated our ninth (whod a thunk it?) wedding anniversary while on onboard the new Celebrity Constellation, during her maiden transatlantic voyage from Barcelona, Spain to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ship is drop dead gorgeous, and we...
Pros: experiencing the magnificent Geiranger Fjords and the land of the midnight sun Cons: the quality of the food in the buffet and more educational enrichment lectures
Stateroom: Our Category 6 Oceanview Stateroom #3011 was located forward on the Plaza Deck (near the Pursers desk). Since it was very much towards the bow of the ship, it is very quiet and totally undisturbed by the noise from the foyer area. The ...
Pros: Luxurious, new ship at a bargain price Cons: Not a deluxe line anymore, but everyman's cruising
We, an active, well-traveled, 50-ish couple (including me, a bargain hound and former travel agent) took the Constellation's 7-day Southern Caribbean cruise ex San Juan on l/ll/03 and found it generally very good. We found and booked it on a great web ...
Pros: Ship is amazing, spa is amazing, Great value for the money, Cons: OLD CROWD!!!!!!, mediocre food, the unlimited soda card while needed, is a pain.
Don't get me wrong the ship is amazingly spectacular. They have done a tremendous job throughout the ship. I was somewhat disappointed that they did not carry the theme/colors/elegance of the ship into the staterooms. The staterooms are a good ...
Pros: Itinerary,Service, Cons: Only sails once a year
We are seasoned cruisers with more than 15 sailings behind us who have become tired of the Carribean and Mexico. We have done Hawaii and Canada and wanted something different. This is a 14 day cruise that Celebrity offers this cruise just once a year ...
Pros: Food quality, service and the cleanliness were of the highest standard. Cons: Not many however the ship attracts senior people, and Panama as a stop.
Just returned from the 11 night Caribbean Cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. As regular cruisers on RCI my wife and I wanted to try something different and we were not disappointed. The staff on board, in particular Darius, Pavel & Daniel in the San Marco ...
Pros: Ship is beautiful
Service is excellent Cons: The "hard sell" on spa products
My husband and I spent 9 days aboard the Constellation on a Caribbean cruise and we couldn't have been happier. The ship is beautiful and elegant in every way. The service was impeccable and the food was excellent. We felt that no detail was missed ...
Pros: Luxury, Service, Food Selection and Quality, Attention to Detail Cons: Shows substandard
The Constellation proved to us to be the most luxurious ship we have ever sailed! We sailed March 15, 2003 out of San Juan on a 7 day southern Carribean cruise and it was sooo relaxful! Their staff is friendly, courteous, responsive and caring. The...
We just took a Carribean cruise on this boat before Christmas, and the ship was very nice with excellent dining room and cabin service staff. On the other hand, I found the food wanting, both in quality and choices. Continental dishes (Italian, French) were high quality, but I seldom received meat as ordered (typically if medium was ordered, you got well-done). The other types of food ranged from okay to an awful Mexican buffet to the absolute worst sushi I have had in my life. This coupled with the fact that there were times on the boat when there were very limited options for food, like when there was a 45 minute wait for the burger bar, with only room service and the health food bar as the only other choices.
I also had the most unpleasant run-in at the guest relations desk over a scheduling error, and they definitely didn't adopt the "customer is always right" attitude. The attitude was surprisingly hostile for an employee in a service oriented industry.
The stops were decent, but I'd probably take a pass on St. Lucia in future.
All in all, I've received better service/value on previous cruises.
Pros: Itinerary, service, accomodations, crewmembers. Cons: The only con was that the cruise wasn't longer!
In addition to the terrific destinations on this route .. Antigua, Barbados and more, the ship, and crew, was outstanding. Not one of the "mega ships", but classy and comfortable nevertheless. We had a simple balcony cabin, but it was spacious, and more than adequate for two. Service in all areas was very good, from the lovely cabin stewardesses to the spa, and everywhere in between. Shows were entertaining, and excursions offered were interesting and not terribly expensive. There weren't a large number of children on board, but those that I did see seemed to be enjoying themselves. Great feature with the spa cuisine in the actual pool / spa area.
Pros: Food: quality, variety and freshness outstanding. loved the fish!!!
Service: excellent and personal Cons: Extra charges for soft drinks and alcohol.
Outstanding vacation for family of six. We traveled July, 2003 on Baltic Cruise and were WOWED!!! The courteous wait staff and attention to detail was amazing.
We found the ship magnificent, easy to navigate and full of interesting places to visit. We enjoyed the card room, the internet cafe, the coffee bar, the casino, the aquaspa, the gym, the thalasotherapy pool, the night clubs, cinema and theatre.
We enjoyed the variety of eating especially the sushi bar, the healthy variety of food served at the aquaspa, the casual food at the seaside grill by the pool and the buffets. The elegant tea-times with exquisite tea service and small pastries was a real treat. The outstanding service and pampering by the multi-national staff is hard to beat!!
We will long cherish our wonderful memories of a cruise worth double the price!!! The Celebrity tours were well organized and well priced. The children greatly enjoyed the teen activities and had a blast.
